Today, the BERTA fashion house includes the famous namesake luxury bridal line BERTA, two more bridal lines by the names of MUSE BY BERTA and BERTA PRIVÉE. BERTA completely disrupted the fashion industry, by presenting a couture level of quality with retail prices that are closer to those of mass production brands.

In 2018, Veil Bridal Couture’s founder and director, Lize Erasmus, travelled to the shores of Israel, home of Berta. During the same year, Lize introduced Berta to South Africa for the very first time. Veil is still the the proud exclusive sole-retailer of this formidable brand and continues to visit Israel, Europe and Australia yearly to bring the best and latest in bridal fashion to Southern Africa.

Lize’s bridal journey began in 2012, when she joined the Pronovias Group for 8 years as sales manager for South Africa and Australia. She then fathered her passion by joining the design team for Dutch bridal designers, Modeca, in 2016 and shoot stylist in Turkey in 2017. As another feather in Lize’s well-adorned cap, she is also the sole distributor for the world-famous Randy Fenoli, from “Say Yes to the Dress”, in Southern Africa.

Lize absolutely exudes passion for the bridal and fashion industry; this can be seen in the meticulous detail and effort she displays during every bridal consultation. Lize reiterates that every bride is different and deserves every ounce of attention during their fittings with no effort spared to make sure that every need and want is met.
