Carmen & Daniel

Carmen and Dan’s story was bolstered by a fairytale wedding which perfectly detailed their never-ending love for each other.

After meeting in a nightclub in 2011, Carmen and Dan were both too proud to make the first move, but little did they know that the meeting was the start of a lifelong journey.

Before long, Dan eventually broke the ice and was rewarded by Carmen with an invitation to a family event. This was no small feat, but Dan was calm, cool and collected. He charmed the entire family in the very first meeting.

Dan soon asked Carmen out at an Avicii concert.

Fast forward to 2019, Dan popped the big question on a Contiki Sail in Croatia.

Dan had meticulously planned the romantic proposal to take place on the walls of King’s Landing. However, Carmen, being the social butterfly she is, decided to bring a friend, whom they had just met, along for the walk.

After waiting out the rain in a pub, Dan, Carmen, and the new friend continued their walk of the King’s landing.

“In true impatient Carmen fashion, she walked straight past THE spot. Dan pulled her from her impatient steer, got down on one knee and proposed. It was a fairy tale dream come true.”

Two years later, Dan and Carmen would get married at the Inimitable wedding venue in Muldersdrift.

Carmen described every moment of the wedding day as a fairytale.

Dan had penned multiple letters given to Carmen’s bridesmaids to hand to her during the day.

These love letters took Carmen down memory lane, with some leaving her in tears with Dan’s honest and poetic love declarations.

This gesture was reciprocated as Carmen had a surprise voice-over of her love declaration play while walking down the aisle towards Dan.

The couple also had their first dance on a cloud encircled with sparkles to a song sang by Dan’s sister.

“Our wedding day was the happiest I (bride) have ever been, and the moment we said ‘I do’, the love we had for each other immediately elevated and multiplied. It is so difficult to just pick one moment when every moment was magnificent,” Carmen said.
