What started as a casual gathering for her cousin’s birthday turned into a life-changing encounter when Jean, a handsome friend of a friend, arrived unexpectedly from a business trip. Little did Carla know that this chance meeting would lead to a love story for the ages.
Their journey together began in October 2018, with moments of laughter, joy, and a brief break that only strengthened their bond. Carla’s faith guided her through this time, as she prayed for their paths to intertwine once again, knowing deep in her heart that Jean was the one meant for her.
The pivotal moment came on a picturesque beach day in Cyprus when Jean nervously popped the question. With turquoise waters as their witness, Jean’s heartfelt proposal on a rented boat was a moment straight out of a fairytale. Carla’s answer was an emphatic “yes,” sealing their love in the most romantic setting imaginable.
When it came time to choose a venue for their wedding, Shepstone Gardens stood out as the perfect choice. Its natural beauty and timeless charm made it feel like a hidden gem amidst the chaos of the city—an ideal backdrop for their fairytale celebration.
Among Carla’s most treasured moments from their wedding day was the intimate walk down the aisle with her father and the heart-melting presence of their beloved frenchies, Charles and Dolce, who stole the show as ring bearers. Carla’s highlight was her and Jean sharing their personal vows and the feeling of pride that she felt to be a wife. Jean’s wife.
As a bride, Carla embraced simplicity and elegance, finding her dream dress was a breeze as it was the first she tried on at Grandiflora Bridal and opting for delicate Baby’s Breath flowers to complement her vision of beauty in simplicity.
